This packages contains keymappings for 2 Japanese alphabets, Hiragana and Katakana. This one allows on to enter the phonetic equivalent of the characters and it will translated into the correct unicode character for that letter.
 
install details
Place kana.vim in your keymap directory. (or see the README)
