| description |
Reads AI model IDs and display names (gpt-4.1-mini, claude-sonnet-4-5, Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview) and splits them into vendor, family, version, size, date and tags.
:ModelName parses the name under the cursor, or one you type, and echoes a one line summary.
:ModelNameLatest {family} finds the newest model of that family in the current buffer.
Functions for scripts: modelname#parse(), modelname#compare(), modelname#same_family(), modelname#latest().
Pure Vimscript with no dependencies. Works in Vim 8.0+ and Neovim. No default key mappings.
