Sponsor Vim development

Fixing bugs and adding new features takes a lot of effort. To show your appreciation for the work and motivate Bram and others to continue working on Vim please send a donation.

Since Bram no longer needs it, the money will be used to help children in Uganda. This is the charity recommended by Vim's author. The money is used for a children centre in the south of Uganda, where AIDS has caused many victims. But at the same time donations increase Bram's motivation to keep working on Vim!

Registered Vim user

You can become a registered Vim user by sending at least 10 euro. This works similar to sponsoring Vim (see above). Registration was made possible for the situation where your boss or bookkeeper may be willing to register software, but does not like the terms "sponsoring" and "donation".

Voting for features

Update 2023: The Voting feature is no longer actively maintained.

The voting results appear on the results page, which is visible for everybody. Here is the Vim hall of honour.

More explanations can be found on the FAQ page.

How to send money

PayPal
Click on this button for sponsoring:
Click on this button for registration:
See the PayPal site for information. The e-mail address for sponsoring is: donate@vim.org, for Vim registration: register@vim.org. Using euro is preferred, other currencies are also accepted. Your browser must have cookies enabled.
In Euro countries a bank transfer is preferred, this has lower costs.
Other methods     Please refer to the ICCF website. For some countries this may give you a tax benefit (currently for the Netherlands, Germany, USA and Canada).
Include "Vim sponsor" or "Vim registration" in the comment of your money transfer. Send an e-mail to Bram that mentions the amount you transferred if you want to vote for features and show others you are a registered Vim user or sponsor.
Subscribe If you would like to pay monthly, quarterly or yearly, see the subscribe page. This uses PayPal.
